100 Students and Counting
Hey folks, as we’re nearing the end of 2025 I just wanted to say thank you for being a part of our efforts to make firearms education available and safe for anyone who wants it. We’ve had over 100 students attend our various educational events since our first official class in September! 🎉
Keeping the lights on
Our non-profit is on track to close out the year with an operating loss of a few hundred dollars as of right now. We are a registered 501(c)(3) public charity and you can make tax-deductible donations that help us continue running sliding scale pricing for classes and events and make them accessible to as many people as possible. 🪙
Aside from donating, you can also purchase some of our awesome merch! All the proceeds from merchandise sales go directly to helping fund our operations. 👕
Event Notifications
I know our classes sell out very quickly and people have had trouble registering in time before they fill up. To help with this, I’ve added two new events to our Luma calendar that let you subscribe to notifications about upcoming classes or range days. Simply “register” for these events and you’ll automatically be invited to future events. 🔔
Range Days
We’re only going to do one range day this month and it will be on December 23rd at Shore Galleries. For January we will return to doing two range days per month: a Sunday night at Maxon and a weekday night at Shore Galleries. We had 14 people at our range day last week and filled up the entire east half of Maxon! 😎

Since attendance at range days has started to pick up, we’re going to start working with the ranges to pay them directly to rent out the space. Instead of paying for your lane yourself at the range, we’ll only ask for suggested donations during registration to help cover those costs. We know that range fees can get expensive, and having the option to attend at a lower price will hopefully allow more people to participate each month. 🩷
Classes
We don’t have any more classes planned for the remainder of the year, but we’ll be ramping those back up again starting in 2026. We’re actively searching for experienced and motivated volunteers to help with classes or events. If you want to help out in any way, let’s talk! 🧑🏫
Social Stuff
Remember that we have a Discord server where a lot of us talk about firearms and plan ad-hoc visits to the range or outside classes and competitions. We’re also working on getting different social events up and running besides the happy hour. If you have good ideas for fun social activities (maybe board games?) I would love to hear them! 🎲
